  FAQs

  When is the last time I can have something to eat or drink prior to my procedure?

  Your physician will let you know how long to fast prior to your procedure.

  What medications should I take prior to my procedure?

  Please take any blood pressure, seizure, or cardiac/heart medications with a sip of water prior to coming into the facility on the day of the procedure. If you are on aspirin or any blood thinners or are a diabetic, please ask your doctor's office when to take the last dose.

  Am I allowed to drive prior to or after my procedure?

  No, you will most likely receive anesthesia and should not operate a motor vehicle. Please arrange for a responsible party to drive you to and from your appointment.

  Should someone come with me on the day of my procedure?

  Yes, please have a responsible adult accompany you the day of your procedure.

  Can my driver wait in the building during my procedure?

  At this time, we are not allowing patients or guests in our waiting room. Please see our COVID-19 information page for more information.

  What should I bring with me on the day of my procedure?

  Please bring your insurance card and photo ID with you. Please leave all valuables at home and remove all jewelry prior.

  How do I prepare for my procedure?

  Your doctor will give you detailed instructions depending on the procedure.
  Diet changes will often need to begin several days prior to your procedure. For example, if you are having a colonoscopy, you will need to do a cleanse. Please contact the office no less than a week before your procedure.

  Who should I contact for a cost consultation?

  Patients should contact their insurance carrier for any questions or concerns about benefits and additional costs.

  What costs are associated with my procedure?

  Physician, facility, and anesthesia fees are charged for your procedure, which will all be processed through your insurance.
